Tooth Fairy Pt 1

-cracks door open and sticks head in-

Oh wow.... -violent sneeze- Oh boy. We are bad people, we are..

Ah well. Bad as we are we've managed to stumble our way back here...although perhaps for less than honorable means. -laugh-

Anyways. For those who've found our little hidey-hole and for those who dimly remember, I'm Jack and I'll be the captain of this little returning shiparoo as she creaks her way out of the docks and out to the open ocean.

So Kaasan and I have been up to things and we've set our sites of Rise of the Guardians.
If you don't know what Rise of the Guardians is...well you suck.
But briefly I'll tell you this;

Rise of the Guardians...is a movie.

But more than that, its a film about childhood, our dreams, and that Santa is a bad-ass with tattoos. The main point of the movie is that the bad-guy is  bad but really who wouldn't be and that the good guys are good and colorful and may or may not be the record holders on the Naughty List.
You don't really need to know all that to appreciate what we're doing here though. See, Kaasan and I...we really love the story. The story AND the designs and let's face it, the rest of it too. So, since we're singularly obsessed, we've decided we're gonna cosplay from it. It won't be a full group--a trio if we're lucky--but a duo is good enough for us.

So me, its pretty obvious who I'll be doing.
Oh yeah. You guys knew it, you saw it coming, you probably took bets on it and it failed utterly 'cause you all bet to the same end, right? Right. I totally see through you guys, internet people.

Anyways. I'll be cosplaying Jack Frost who, while its a fabulous outfit, isn't particularly difficult to figure out. You know I mean... pants.... sweater... countless hours of technical detailing... stick... pretty straight forward. But Kaasan had go go and be difficult. She had to strut her stuff out of the movie theater and be all "Tooth."

That bitch wants to kill me.

She's got a sparkly vampire in her eyeballs.

 Okay, okay, Tooth's pretty cool. You gotta admit it, aside from the fact that she seems to have upended an entire tub (as in bathtub) of pink glitter into the sockets of her eyes, Tooth is awesome. And old as balls. And awesome. And covered in feathers.

...I may be a teensy bit bipolar regarding our little fairy princess. Either way it stands that what Kaasan wants Kaasan gets, and Kaasan wants Tooth. So Tooth she gets!

But unlike Frost who you can look at and get all the references you want, Tooth isn't so simple. See, she's not about to be something you can just look at a picture and do. No she wants to be fabulous and spectacular and unwilling to be humanly possible. So we're breaking her down into pieces, digging deep and pulling up references from doodles and sketches and whatever tiny little things we can get off the internet and we're going to make her into something humanly possible, something inhumanly gorgeous, and so very very Tooth. And that's why we're back! We're hear to show you our process when we break down a character and remake them.
